On the third Tuesday of the month, September through April, members gather for lunch at St. David’s Church in Hopkins, followed by a musical program or speaker. The year concludes with a special luncheon in May.
We have a new meeting place this year. Same great members, wonderful plans, terrific organizations to help. Please join us in September at St. David’s Church for lunch and Bingo. We want to have a chance to visit as it has been so long since we have been able to see each other.
As of Friday March 13, we have canceled our March meeting. Please check back later for the decision for the April meeting. We recognize many of our members are in the “at risk” age group and don’t want to put anyone in danger. Please enjoy a healthy month!

Lunch was well attended in January. After the meeting, we heard from the Hopkins Police Department with ideas to help prevent identity theft and scams by phone, email, or text.

Many new members were welcomed into the club today. If you would like to visit or join HWC contact us. Marge Carstens shared a story of her grandmother helping a family at Christmas when Marge was 5 yrs old. It left a lasting impression and she is pleased that Women’s Club participates in Adopt a Family for the holidays.
We had a social time before lunch, luncheon and afterwards listened to music and joking from Sanok Jazz Band.

Jodi Janati was our esteemed speaker after the luncheon. Communication was the theme of her talk, words to avoid – don’t, not, stop and then words to use – You may, I’m feeling . . . let me know if you need, prefer, and checking in with you. This doesn’t do the topic justice, listen to her if you have a chance.

We enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving-inspired lunch and wonderful entertainment from Alive & Kickin – a non-profit organization with a mission to give voice to seniors through personal story and popular song. What a talented group – with plenty of charisma – we really enjoyed their performance!
